Lesley has over 30 years experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy specialising in the treatment of muscle and joint problems, including back and neck pain, work and posture related disorders, sports injuries, joint and muscle problems following accidents and surgery. We help people to improve their health and fitness through treatment, exercise rehabilitation and advice.
Who are we?
Although Beckington Physiotherapy has recently moved to new premises, it is built on the firm foundation gained from many years of working in the musculoskeletal specialty of the NHS. Alison has been running her successful private clinic from home in Beckington for 9 years. before moving it to its new premises at Shawford farm. We are Chartered Physiotherapists and Health & Care Profession Council registered. Lesley is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists
What makes us different?
Our experience is vast and varied. We both draw from our work here in the UK and abroad. As well as her clinical workload, Lesley has experience of being a clinical researcher for a national shoulder trial run by Oxford University and has taught undergraduate students from Southampton and Bournemouth Universities during their clinical placements since 2006.

WHAT TO EXPECT
What We Offer
When you contact us for your first appointment, we will ask you which type of appointment you prefer. Some patients are still preferring remote consultations as they do not need to travel to their appointment or have other health issues to consider. More patients are now wanting to come back into the Practice for a hands-on assessment and management. For those patients coming into the practice, it is important that you do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid, a positive Covid test or have been in contact with anyone else who has had Covid in the last 10 days. At the point of booking we will ask you to print off, complete and sign the last 2 pages of our patient information leaflet which we will email to you, to bring to the appointment as part of your consent process.
What will you need
Any medical notes, list of medications, referral letters, x-rays and scan reports and any other information you believe relevant to your case.
Please wear comfortable clothing for the assessment whether face to face or over the telephone. You may need to undress the relevant body area so please consider wearing a vest top / shorts, to aid examination.
Please do not attend or book a face to face appointment if you or a member of your household has symptoms of Covid 19.
Gov UK advice is as follows
Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has any of the following:
-
a high temperature
-
a new, continuous cough
-
a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
Check the NHS website if you have symptoms
